JA Carson Group is a made up of three strong companies, Carson Groundworks, Carson Irrigation, and Carson Outdoor Lighting divisions. Each of these companies specializes in their selected field.   

• Carson Groundworks provides excellent drainage solutions and driveway work to our valued customers.  We also complete many general excavation projects including home additions, septic systems, new water lines, electric services, and concrete work.   Carson Groundworks offers four-season maintenance services that include spring cleanup, mowing, mulching, bed edging, tree work, stump grinding, fall cleanup, gutter cleanouts, installing gutter guards, putting up landscape deer fencing, snow plowing, cindering, and applying ice melt products.

• Carson Irrigation is a specialized residential and commercial lawn sprinkler installation/maintenance company.  We feature trenchless pipe installation with all our new sprinkler system installations.  All of our lawn sprinkler systems are spray head precipitation matched and include rain sensor systems to minimize overuse of valuable water resources. 

• Carson Outdoor Lighting is a dedicated division that provides high quality exterior lighting installation and maintenance.  We install landscape lighting, sign lighting, post lamps, and home lighting.  Lighting is installed with 120 volt power sources and the safe and efficient 12 volt systems (including LED).  

The JA Carson Group serves residential and commercial customers in the Ithaca, NY area and the surrounding Finger Lakes Region. Carson Irrigation also installs and maintains residential sprinkler systems in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky. Company owner John Carson is proud to bring the highest level of education, technology, and detail to every project he and his employees complete.

JA Carson Group Headquarters: Our main office is located 7 miles east of Ithaca, New York on Route 79.  Our eleven acre facility includes a two acre parking lot, a 6,500 square foot equipment shop, a 15,000 square foot storage facility, and our business offices.  We also process and sell topsoil and mulch at this site. Delivery services are available upon request.

The facility houses a complete line of heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, tracked loaders, wheel loaders, trenchers, cable plows and all the specialty attachments needed to complete any type of job.
